The horticulture tradition along with the strong knowledge of Mendoza's solis led Bodegas Eclipse to dig into the grape-growing and wine-making industry. Since this activity requires devotion and effort, Bodegas Eclipse started establishing vineyards in the Maipu area several years ago.

Pursuing excelence, the family worked extremly hard in the vineyards and once they were sure that the quality of the grapes was the optimus they started elaborating their wines. Since 2003 these wines are present in the market, reflecting the hard work in the vineyards and expressing the excellent combination of their terroir with modern wine-making techniques applied.

Bodegas Eclipse vineyards are located in los Alamos district of Maipu, Mendoza.

About our Winery

There, in more than 100 hectares of "Finca Chica" the family grows red grape varieties such as: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot, Sangiovess, as well as white grape varieties wich include : Semillon, Chardonnay, Torrontes, Pedro Jimenez. The weather characteristics of the soils where the vineyards are located, in combination with the newest techniques of systems of irrigation, pruning, yielding, and defoliation result in a balanced production accomplishing the necessary requirements for quality wine making.

Bodegas Eclipse

The elaboration process of Bodegas Eclipse is based on the extreme care of the grapes from the vineyards and the strict control of each stage of the winemaking. The winery is located in the department of Maipú, Province of Mendoza and its part of touristic circuit called "Camínos de vino" ("Wine roads"). It is equipped with machineries of modern technologies; pool with refrigeration systems that allow an optimal conservation of the wine once elaborated.With special attention in the fermentation, remontage, tank exchange, stabilization, raising, and filtration processes shows as a result wines with unique characteristics, that reflect the care offered to the vineyards and each one of the elaboration stages. This policy of carefully following all processes, continues with placing the finished products in a modern camera of controlled temperature of 16ºc (60.8ºf ) for their best conservation. The camera has a capacity of 50,000 cases.

In addition, in order to follow strict norms of quality concerning the chemical products used and respecting the atmosphere in all stages of elaboration, the company was motivated to install an own plant of fluids treatments.

With this meticulous work, the main objective of this project is to assure that the consumers enjoy the wines with the same pleasure and intensity that Bodegas Eclipse lives in each harvest.

The different varieties and designs of the wines of Bodegas Eclipse care for reaching satisfaction of the consumers exigencies and are committed to offer a constant quality through time, with the best quality price ratio.

Red Wine

Grapes: Tempranillo-Merlot-Bonarda
Vineyards: Own vineyards located in Maipú, Mendoza.
Harvest: by hand in half ton bins. (1st week of March 2009)
Tasting notes: Red fruits aromas. Harmonious and well balanced.
Food pairings: pasta, white creams and soft white meats.
Finished alcohol: 13.2%

 

White Wine

Grapes: Semillón-Pedro Ximenez-Chardonnay
Vineyards: Own vineyards located in Maipú, Mendoza.
Harvest: by hand in half ton bins. (1st week of March 2009)
Tasting notes: Fruity and aromatic. Gently in the palate with a smooth finish.
Food pairings: fish, white meats, seafood.
Finished alcohol: 13.1%

Red Wine

Grapes: Tempranillo-Merlot-Bonarda
Vineyards: Own vineyards located in Maipú, Mendoza.
Harvest: by hand in half ton bins. (1st week of March 2009)
Tasting notes: Red fruits aromas. Harmonious and well balanced.
Food pairings: pasta, white creams and soft white meats.
Finished alcohol: 13.2%

Grapes: Semillón-Pedro Ximenez-Chardonnay
Vineyards: Own vineyards located in Maipú, Mendoza.

Tasting notes: Fruity and aromatic. Gently in the palate with a smooth finish.
Food pairings: fish, white meats, seafood.
Finished alcohol: 13.1%

Vino Vieja Bodega Reserve

Cabernet 2008

Grape: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Vineyards: Own vineyards located in Maipú, Mendoza.
Harvest: by hand in half ton bins. (2nd week of April 2007)
Tasting notes: Intense color with spices and sweet oak aromas. Well structured with a creamy finish
Food pairings: Red meats, dark and hearty sauces, lamb, grilled and smoked foods.
Finished alcohol: 13.5%

Malbec 2008

Grape: 100% Malbec
Vineyards: Own vineyards located in Maipú, Mendoza.
Harvest: by hand in half ton bins. (3rd week of March 2007)
Tasting notes: Ripe red fruit aromas. Rounded with lingering finish.
Food pairings: Hard cheeses, pasta, juicy steaks and spicy barbecues.
Finished alcohol: 13.5%

Vino Campo Grande Malbec 2008
